JOB OVERVIEW
This is an excellent opportunity for a Plumber to join a facilities management operation maintaining a varied property estate across Cornwall, with training for water treatment and testing where required.
Working across medium and large healthcare buildings and other sites, the Plumber will support planned and reactive maintenance, installations, repairs and safe, continuous building operation.
The Plumber will work with the wider engineering team, complete essential compliance paperwork and contribute to high standards of workmanship and professionalism, with some national project travel.

DUTIES
Your duties as the Plumber include:
- Plumbing Installation and Maintenance: Carry out domestic and commercial plumbing, construction and maintenance work, including first and second fix installations
- Planned and Reactive Maintenance: Complete PPM schedules, respond quickly to reactive faults and carry out repairs in line with service requirements
- Water Systems and Sanitaryware: Maintain water, plumbing and sanitaryware systems, including fabric and plumbing repairs and troubleshooting
- Water Treatment and Testing: Perform water treatment and testing, with training provided where required
- Building Systems Support: Assist with installation and modification of building equipment systems and undertake other planned maintenance or fault-response work within competence
- Safety and Site Continuity: Complete assigned work safely to support tenants and the continuous operation of sites
- Compliance and Teamwork: Complete required paperwork, liaise with the wider engineering team and maintain effective communication across the business
- Project Travel and Professional Standards: Work primarily in Cornwall with some national travel to support project work, maintaining high standards of workmanship and professionalism
CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS
ESSENTIAL
- NVQ Level 2 6089 NVQ Mechanical Engineering Services – Plumbing (or equivalent)
- CSCS Card
- Valid UK driving licence
- Previous plumbing experience across commercial and domestic properties and construction
- Substantial relevant experience in commercial facilities management
- Substantial relevant experience and/or qualifications in working at height and health and safety, with the ability to work routinely to health and safety requirements
- Well versed in completing PPM paperwork, inspection sheets and RAMS
- Reliable, proactive and hardworking approach with integrity and strong team communication
DESIRABLE
- NVQ Level 3 6189-33 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating (or equivalent)
- Good working knowledge of the building services environment and other disciplines
