AWC Staff Services are looking for a Power Fence Installer to work with one of their clients, a successful security company who specialise in Security / Access Control Systems to some of the largest Utility companies across the UK as part of the National Grid Technology Framework. You will work Nationwide, travelling around the UK and staying away from home Mon-Fri.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Installation and testing of Electrical Security Power Fence systems, CCTV & access control to LV/HV/GIS Sub Stations, Power Generating Stations, Waste To Power Plants, Wind Farms, Solar Parks, Telecommunications, Data centres, Water Industry and MOD infrastructures.
  • Liaising with the client on site and dealing with design issues with the architects and project managers etc. to ensure that works that fall within scope are carried out in a safe, diligent, professional and timely manner.
  • You must be able to demonstrate key Electrical skills not limited to:
    • Use of digital volt meters.
    • Installation of Electrical Fence, CCTV, & Access Control.
    • Fault diagnosis on Electrical Fence, CCTV, & Access Control systems.
    • Detecting and reporting defects, snags and complaints.
    • Responsibility for Van Stock / Replenishment and Stock Taking.
    • Competency in problem solving and an ability to make diligent recommendations.
    • Demonstration to Clients and End Users of completed systems or individual work(s).
    • Provide training to other Engineers and Company Staff where required.
    • Arranging PAT / CAT and Meter Calibrations for company issued equipment.
    • Completion of Asset Tagging and Registration of Information.
  • Candidates must be PC and IT literate as recording of data and email are an important job requirement.
