We are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Mechanical Estimator to join a major project team working on the Net Zero Teesside development.

This is a senior estimating position with responsibility for leading and managing the estimating process across assigned bid teams, ensuring accurate, commercially robust pricing and effective cost forecasting.

You will play a key role in developing competitive tenders, identifying operational and commercial risks, and delivering high-quality estimating solutions in line with contractual requirements.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Mechanical Estimator with a strong background in major industrial, energy, petrochemical, nuclear or other highly regulated projects.

Key Responsibilities Lead the estimating function within assigned bid teams and manage estimating resources.

Undertake estimating activities directly where required.

Review drawings, specifications and technical information to develop accurate cost estimates.

Carry out detailed measurement, material take-offs and labour/equipment pricing.

Develop and review plant rates, installation methods, outputs and plant selection.

Work closely with engineering, planning, commercial and procurement teams to develop competitive bids.

Analyse subcontractor quotations and commercial submissions.

Manage preliminaries, general expenses, plant schedules and risk assessments.
