AWC Staff Services are looking to recruit an Engineering Supervisor for our clients' offices in Yorkshire and Lancashire. The role will consist of many different activities and duties, working predominantly within the water industry carrying out various works from small necessary preventative maintenance to large scale mechanical projects.

Duties of the role include:

  • Carrying out initial site visits with clients to understand the scope of works, including a site visit to carry out a survey, taking measurements and compiling a list of parts and equipment that will be required, also factoring in the labour costs.
  • Communicate with the project manager to ensure he has as much information as possible to price the works.
  • Work closely with Health and Safety to ensure a full set of RAMS where suitable for the work.
  • Leading a team of fitters on the job ensuring quality work is carried out on the projects in a timely manner whilst also ensuring Health and Safety plays a pivotal role no matter what the task.
  • Ensuring all permits are signed and in place to deliver a toolbox talk with the team.
  • Workshop based mechanical fitting and engineering tasks including heavy fabricating, welding, milling, turning, large scale bearing replacement, drilling.
