Due to continued growth, they are looking to recruit a reliable and organised Construction Store Person to manage materials, tools, and equipment from their site stores.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with stores, warehouse, or construction experience who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment and takes pride in maintaining high standards of organisation and stock control.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive, inspect and book in deliveries of construction materials and equipment.
  • Organise and maintain the site stores, ensuring all stock is clearly identified and safely stored.
  • Issue tools, PPE, and materials to site operatives, maintaining accurate records.
  • Carry out regular stock checks and report shortages or discrepancies.
  • Order replacement stock when required.
  • Inspect tools and equipment, arranging repairs or replacements where necessary.
  • Ensure the stores area is clean, tidy, and compliant with health and safety regulations.
  • Coordinate deliveries and collections with suppliers and site teams.
  • Maintain accurate inventory and delivery documentation.
  • Assist with loading and unloading vehicles when required.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous experience in a construction stores, warehouse, or logistics role.
  • Good organisational and stock control skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Office and stock management systems.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Desirable

  • Forklift Truck (FLT) licence.
  • CSCS Card.
  • Experience using inventory management software.
  • Knowledge of construction materials, plant, and equipment.
