Successful security company who specialise in security/access control systems to some of the largest utility companies across the UK as part of the national grid technology framework. The Commissioning Engineer must be fully conversant in not only the physical installation of security systems but also have a deep knowledge on the commissioning of security systems and have the ability to understand design and installation documentation to ensure that all hardware is deployed and configured according to the design and the client's requirements.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Carry out installations to industry standards, NSI and SSAIB
  • Accurate and timely completion of all work-related documentation included but not limited to test results, commissioning information, drawings, and O&M information
  • Carry out fault finding on systems
  • Attend Factory Acceptance Testing - off site
  • Meet predefined target times for installation
  • Awareness of health and safety
  • Be focused on all safety, environmental and quality issues on the construction site

Essential Experience:

  • Construction skills certification scheme CSCS/ECS Card
  • Experience of BAFE SP203-1 and all NSI standards
  • Previous experience as a security systems engineer - intruder detection systems, IP video surveillance, access control, electric gates, automated barriers, turnstiles
  • Advantageous - Safe control of Operations, NG Person, NG Competent Person, Emergency first aid
