We offer clients advanced in-house engineering & design with 3D modeling, piloting, fabrication and machining, in-house control panel shop, and a full range of field services, allowing us to provide turn-key solutions. We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Intermediate Welder / Fabricator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and welding, with expertise in working with aluminum and stainless steel components.

As a Fabricator/Welder, you will be responsible for reading and interpreting engineering drawings, fabricating and welding aluminum and stainless steel components using various shop equipment and tools, and ensuring the quality and accuracy of the finished products. In addition, you will provide guidance and support to other team members, maintain a safe and clean working environment, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the fabrication process.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Ability to Read/Fabricate/Weld components using various shop equipment/tools following specified layouts, engineering drawings, work orders, or verbal instructions.
  • Ability to read weld symbols.
  • Maintaining daily records, as required.
  • Assisting in the fabrication, welding, and assembling of multi-component parts.
  • Safe Use/Operation of forklifts, hoists, hand power tools, rigging, grinders, cutting torch, and other hand tools related to job requirements.
  • Inspecting and correcting welds as necessary, to meet product specifications.
  • Inspecting equipment to maintain functional equipment.
  • Notifying supervisor if any equipment needs repairs.
  • Safety and conduct in the shop.
  • Adherence to all WorkSafe BC / AWC safety requirements.
  • Support QA/QC activities as required.
  • Mentoring and coaching team members as required.
  • Assist with Inspecting and correcting welds as required.
  • Maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Site work and associated travel as required.
  • Occasional Confined Space work activities – training provided.
  • Weekly timesheet input.
  • Ability to work on your own based on drawings docs with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to maintain set schedule requirements.

Health / Quality Responsibilities:

  • Immediately report any accidents or incidents and cooperate in their investigation.
  • Cease work when conditions are unsafe and report them to management.
  • Maintain orderly and clean work areas.
  • Use and maintain safety equipment, work tools, and personal protective equipment as required.

Education:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Accredited Trade school or equivalent experience.

Experience:

  • 3+ years relevant fabrication and welding or equivalent.
  • 2+ years as a Junior fabricator/welder or equivalent.

Certifications:

  • CWB & ASME (as applicable).
