AWC Staff Services are looking for a Project Manager to join a growing team delivering essential infrastructure projects within the UK Water sector. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven professional to lead projects from inception through to completion, ensuring delivery to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full lifecycle of water infrastructure projects from planning through to completion.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and in line with client requirements.
  • Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
  • Oversee site activities ensuring compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures.
  • Monitor programme schedules, risk, and cost control throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Produce and present project reports to senior stakeholders and clients.
  • Manage procurement of materials, subcontractors, and resources.
  • Ensure all works comply with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the water or utilities sector.
  • Experience delivering civil engineering, pipeline, or infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of project planning, cost management, and programme delivery.
  • Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Knowledge of NEC contracts is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications in engineering, construction, or project management preferred.

Desirable

  • Experience working with major water frameworks.
  • Professional accreditation such as APM, PRINCE2, or similar.
  • SMSTS / CSCS certification.
