AWC Staff Services are looking for a Head of Bid Management to join our client who provide an end-to-end service delivering solutions in electricity transmission, distribution, renewable energy, EV metering and home decarbonisation. This role will be within their Distribution & EV team. They work to make safe, quality, sustainable EV projects a reality. Teams install charging stations to be accessible and reliable and integrate them into the energy network. As Head of Bid Management you will join our client’s Energy team in Nottingham on a Hybrid basis.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Manage the pipeline of sales and bidding performance
  • Develop and deploy a team of bid resources to ensure contracts are secured in line with the business plan
  • Drive continuous improvement of the department and its processes
  • Ensure all tenders follow the governance process
  • Manage lines of communication with the client procurement teams
  • Communicate the bid pipeline with key internal stakeholders to ensure bids are resourced effectively
  • Manage the library of bid management content
  • Comply with all relevant company policies and procedures and lead by example with regards to the business values

What you’ll bring:

  • Background in a construction or utility-based sector
  • Experience with NEC contracts
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in bid management
  • Proven experience in managerial positions
  • Able to multi-task and manage multiple bids simultaneously
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to communicate confidently and concisely about products or services
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Excellent bid writing and proofreading skills
  • Able to travel when required
