AWC Staff Services are looking for a National Grid Authorised Mechanical Fitter to work alongside our client at Melksham Substation.

Responsibilities include:

  • Electrical fitting activities on high voltage switch gear, transformers and associated equipment
  • Installation of control and protection equipment
  • Installation of earthing systems
  • Installation of outdoor equipment such as bus bar, disconnectors and switchgear
  • Maintenance of high voltage equipment
  • Fault finding on low and high voltage equipment
  • Receiving high voltage documents

You must have experience working in a substation environment, along with your National Grid Person's Ticket and Lift Supervisor ticket to apply for the role.

Start: ASAP

Duration: 6 Months

Rate: £300 Per Day, DOE
