AWC Staff Services are looking for a Civil Site Manager for work with our Client at Iron Acton Substation, in Bristol.

To apply for the role, you must have been a Civils PCSM for National Grid, with NSI 6 & 8, HSG47 Substation, Lifting Supervisor, Manual Handling.

About the role:

  • Day to day management of site operatives, subcontractors and site work.
  • Development and implementation of safety documentation including construction phase plans, site quality plans and risk assessments / method statements.
  • Undertake inspections.
  • Carry out site inductions, Toolbox Talks & Daily Briefings.
  • Prepare daily SSoW and put people to work.
  • Produce & maintain Site Specific Risk & Method Statements.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring timely completion of tasks.
  • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Communicate effectively with the contractors, client Morrisons staff.
  • Attend weekly progress meetings.
  • Resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during construction.
  • Ensure quality control measures are implemented throughout the project.
  • Maintain a high standard of documentation and records of project activities/labour including a site diary.

Desirable to already hold SSE authorisation of minimum CAT1C.
