The way people discover and book holidays is changing, and we're rebuilding our technology for what comes next. We are Awaze, Europe’s largest managed vacation rentals and holiday resorts business, bringing together some of the continent’s most recognised travel brands, including cottages.com, Hoseasons, NOVASOL and James Villa Holidays. With more than 1.5 million bookings every year, 100,000+ properties and customers across Europe, we already operate at serious scale. But the next chapter for Awaze is about much more than scale. We’re embarking on an ambitious AI transformation that will reshape how our customers discover, plan and book their holidays, and how our engineering teams build the technology behind those experiences. Our strategy spans AI-powered search, natural-language discovery, intelligent recommendations, richer property data and AI-assisted engineering, all underpinned by a platform built around speed, trust, quality and real-time data.

The Role

Working with our Chief Data Officer, you will act as an internal data & insights consultant across the business turning complex, often ambiguous business questions into clear insights and actions, whilst also being embedded into key commercial projects across Revenue, Marketing, Product, and Finance. A high-visibility data analytical role, you will collaborate closely with the CDO's wider team (Data Engineering, Data Science, and Business Intelligence), acting as a bridge between the data function and the business, knowing when to self-serve and when to draw on specialist capability.

What you'll do day-to-day:

  • Commercial project support: Analytical horsepower on priority initiatives including (but not limited to) pricing, demand, segmentation, owner acquisition.
  • Ad-hoc analysis: Rapid-turnaround answers to questions from the CDO and senior leadership.
  • Cross-team collaboration: Working with Data Engineering, Data Science, and BI to ensure insight lands with the right infrastructure and rigour behind it.
  • Stakeholder communication: Clear, concise outputs for non-technical audiences up to C-suite.

What we're looking For:

  • Analytical mindset: Pattern recognition, sharp follow-up questions, and a restless curiosity, you find the insight others miss.
  • Commercial instinct: You know data only matters when it drives a decision.
  • SQL: Strong, confident querying of large datasets.
  • Excel: Model-building, scenario analysis, outputs that speak for themselves.
  • AI tools: Comfortable with Claude, Copilot, and curious about what's next.
  • Collaboration: Equally effective working independently or alongside engineering, science, and BI teams.
  • Communication: Concise by default, credible with senior stakeholders.
  • Experience: Gained within a commercial or consumer business. Travel, e-commerce, or marketplace a plus.
  • Education: a Degree in Maths | Statistics is preferred.
