About the role

Awaykin is looking for a Senior Sales Account Manager to lead the commercial growth of a portfolio of international womenswear brands. You’ll drive wholesale sales across global markets, build strategic partnerships with leading retailers and develop new business. You’ll be the primary commercial contact for each brand you manage, and you’ll lead a team made up of an Account Manager, a Junior Account Manager and a Wholesale Admin Assistant.

Key responsibilities

  • Brand partnerships: Be the day-to-day lead for your brands. Build annual growth plans, run regular performance reviews, share market and competitor insight, and resolve issues proactively.
  • Retail relationships: Develop long-term relationships with buyers and merchandisers at key global retail and e-commerce accounts to grow the order book season on season.
  • Sales strategy: Set seasonal strategies, target lists, budgets and forecasts. Use sell-through and trend data to shape range plans, and lead showroom and digital sell-in appointments.
  • New business: Prospect & convert new accounts and identify market expansion opportunities.
  • Commercial management: Own target performance and negotiate costs, terms and MOQs. Track sales, margin, returns and other KPIs, and report risks and opportunities to brands and the Sales Director.
  • Operations: Oversee orders from placement to delivery, resolve shipment and production issues, and manage payment collection.
  • Showrooms and events: Represent Awaykin at customer meetings and industry events, and oversee showroom set-ups in London, Paris and New York.
  • Collaboration: Partner with design, marketing, visual merchandising and supply chain to meet customer needs.
  • Leadership: Manage, coach and mentor your team, build a high-performance culture, and support the recruitment and onboarding of junior hires.

About you

  • A track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Strong negotiation, commercial and analytical skills, with confidence interpreting sales data
  • Solid understanding of the product lifecycle and international supply chains
  • An experienced people manager with excellent presentation skills
  • Advanced Excel, plus experience with CRM software, sales reporting and forecasting
  • Familiarity with Joor, NuOrder or Le New Black
  • Highly organised, proactive and able to prioritise at pace
  • Willing to travel as the business requires
