What we need in a nutshell:
We want our guests to enjoy time at the pool and leisure facilities, and to be safe too. We need an experienced leisure assistant. You will have outstanding people skills, who will support the team to ensure the pool and leisure facilities including cafe area are maintained to a high standard and related activities continue to run smoothly.
What you’ll be doing:
- Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go-to person at the poolside.
- You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements.
- As a leisure assistant you will be responsible for the daily operational duties and performance.
- You will be incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and making sure that everyone is having a great time.
One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends and bank holidays too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:
- Previous experience of working in a gym or pool.
- Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
- To be naturally vigilant and helpful - guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.

If your application is successful, you’ll have to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to be happy that this, together with other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.

- A valid NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification).
- Pool plant operators certificate.
- ASA/STA level 1/2 swimming qualification.
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Experience in the hospitality sector.
