We’re looking for a Team Leader who is a qualified lifeguard with pool plant experience. We are searching for individuals to demonstrate just the right mix of welcoming our guests in a positive, friendly manner and ensuring compliance with the Health and Safety procedures necessary in the pool environment.
We have a glistening indoor swimming pool accompanied with a sauna and steam room. An indoor children’s splash area complete with a range of exciting water features, jets and a slide. Our refreshing outdoor swimming pools are the place to be on a warm summer’s day, situated next to our largest lake, furnished with sun loungers and equipped with a cascading splash pad. What you’ll be doing:
As a Pool Team Leader within the Sports and Leisure team your role will be to assist in operating the Indoor and Outdoor swimming pools along with the Splash play areas. You will be responsible for the day to day running of these facilities. Your duties will include leading the lifeguard team and working alongside other team leaders to motivate the team, assisting with training, and driving standards high. Health and safety checks will be a regular part of your job ensuring that our facilities are safe, clean and ready for our guests to enjoy.
Working in partnership with the Sports & Leisure Manager, Swimming Pool Manager, Leisure Admin Manager and other team leaders your role will include:
- Actively market and promote the business, continually seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service.
- Effectively supervise, train & motivate all team whilst on duty to ensure the efficient and effective operation of our facilities, whilst maintaining excellent levels of customer care that promote and reflect the image of the park.
- Maintain and develop the highest levels of service & safety within the swimming pool facilities.
- Responsible for the security of facilities, cleanliness and maintenance, plant operation, water quality testing, stock replenishment and ensure the normal operating procedures and the emergency action plan are implemented as required.
- Carry out any other duties specified by Sport and Leisure Management to ensure the effective operation of the Swimming Pools.
- Ensure a high standard of cleanliness is maintained throughout the Swimming Pool environments in accordance with cleaning schedules and standards.
- Monitor and maintain the safety and welfare of customers and staff. Ensure the correct behaviour and use by customers and staff of the facilities.
This is only a guide to the range of duties involved. The post holder will need to be flexible and adaptable in order to respond to other duties that may be required from time to time.
One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:
We’ll provide training, but you must:
- Hold a current valid NPLQ
- Have experience of working in a pool plant
- Work well under pressure
- Have experience leading a team
