What we need in a nutshell
We want our guests to enjoy time down at the pool and to be safe too, so we need qualified lifeguards who have outstanding people skills.
Who are we?
We’re a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday at our award-winning UK resorts. Our resorts offer luxury accommodation and excellent facilities. Want to find out more about our holidays? Check out our website.
What you’ll be doing
Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go-to person at the poolside. You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic, and ensure we meet our legal requirements.
Be incredibly friendly, answer guests’ questions, and make sure everyone is having a great time. You want to be remembered by the guests as one of the outstanding heroes of their holiday.
Holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work on weekends and bank holidays too.
Skills, experience, and qualities you’ll need
There’s lots of training on offer but you will need:
- A valid NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
- Fantastic interpersonal skills – assertive as well as friendly.
- To be naturally vigilant and helpful – guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.
It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun-loving, people-centered ethos here at Away Resorts, captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers. If that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it here and decide if it describes you.
If your application is successful, you’ll need to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to ensure that this, along with other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.
Nice to have but not essential
It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t):
- Experience of working as part of a team.
- Experience in the hospitality sector.
What we can offer you
Enjoy some great benefits, including:
- Regular incentives and rewards
- Discounted holidays across all our parks
Want to join our team?
