What we need in a nutshell

We want our guests to enjoy time at the pool and gym, and to be safe too. We need a qualified leisure assistant, preferably to level 2 or 3 in gym-related activities, with a passion for gym-related activities. You will have outstanding people skills and will support the team to ensure the pool and gym are maintained to a high standard and related activities continue to run smoothly.

What you’ll be doing

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go-to person at the poolside and gym. You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements. As a leisure assistant, you will be responsible for the daily operational duties and performance of the gym and pool related activities. You will be incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and making sure that everyone is having a great time. One more thing... holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on weekends and bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

  • Previous experience and a passion for working in a gym or pool
  • Gym related qualification to a level 2 or higher (or working towards)
  • Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
  • To be naturally vigilant and helpful - guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.

If your application is successful, you’ll have to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to be happy that this, together with other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.

Nice to have but not essential

  • A valid NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification)
  • Exercise to music
  • Experience
  • Pool plant operators certificate
  • Experience of working as part of a team.
  • Experience in the hospitality sector

What we can offer you

Enjoy some great benefits, including:

  • Incentives and rewards
  • Discounted holidays across all our parks

Our promise to you: Holiday Heroes come with all sorts of different super-powers, and we welcome them all! After all, wouldn’t it be boring if we were all the same? We embrace diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities. We love that everyone comes from different backgrounds, allowing us to grow and inspire each other. We’ll never accept any form of discrimination and we’ll forever strive not just for our product to be unique but our people too. In short, we want to bring your whole self to work!
