What we need in a nutshell: We need someone who understands that food and drink are central to a happy holiday. Someone who can look after our guests’ every whim when they eat, drink and relax in our bars and restaurants.
Who we are: We’re a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday at our award-winning UK resorts. St. Ives Bay Beach Resort has private access to three miles of sandy beach, spectacular sea views, luxury accommodation and excellent facilities, making it one of the best holiday parks in Cornwall and a great place to work.
What you’ll be doing: We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from the day‑to‑day and our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn. This includes:
- Meeting and greeting guests with a friendly welcome
- Taking food orders and making sure everyone gets what they asked for
- Serving behind the bar and delivering excellent table service
- Keeping your area clean, tidy and well‑stocked
- Ensuring areas are sanitised in line with protocols
- Generally making sure everybody is having a great time
And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s “not your job,” you’re the sort of person we’re looking for. One more thing… holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work on bank holidays too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need: If you can demonstrate the following, we’d love to hear from you:
- Relish the fast pace of a busy bar or restaurant
- Be someone who does things without needing to be asked
- Be a people person; easy to talk to and never happy until your guests are
What we can offer you:
- Pension scheme – Plan for your future.
- Up to 50% discounts on Away Resorts holidays – because you deserve amazing getaways too.
- 20% on‑park discounts – Enjoy the best of what we offer.
- Team incentives – Your hard work won’t go unnoticed.
- Holiday Hero Menu – Enjoy delicious meals with discounted food options on‑park.
- Help @ Hand Scheme – Wellbeing support when you need it.
- Career development – We believe in nurturing talent and promoting from within.
Have experience of working in a team: It’s about your values too. We have a can‑do, fun‑loving, people‑centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers. Read about it here and decide if it describes you.
Our promise to you: Holiday heroes come with all sorts of different super‑powers, and we welcome them all! We embrace diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities. We love that everyone comes from different backgrounds, allowing us to grow and inspire each other. We’ll never accept any form of discrimination, and we’ll forever strive not just for our product to be unique but our people too. In short, we want to bring your whole self to work!
