What we need in a nutshell
We need someone who can train and inspire our accommodation cleaners to make sure our guest accommodation is so clean that it sparkles.
Some of the background
We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn. We need you to be the person who delivers delight by ensuring that our accommodation cleaners have the training and skills they need to give our guest accommodation the wow factor.
The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing
As part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, you will be our Roving Accommodation Trainer, who works with our accommodation cleaners on a one-to-one basis, giving them on the job training so that they know exactly what our (extremely high) standards are, and they are confident they can meet them. This will include:
- Practical training, revealing the secrets that make our accommodation spotlessly clean
- Inspiring and motivating cleaners to deliver delight to our guests in their work
- Developing training programs and ensuring everyone is up to date with their training
- Liaising with managers internally and keeping up to date on external regulations and guidelines so that our cleaning regimes are consistent, safe and compliant.
- Striving to make our cleaning get better and better
Your goal will be to build a cleaning team that is skilled, well-informed and motivated to deliver delight to our guests.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need
Are you someone who loves working with people and bringing out the best in them? Are you a great team player? Do you have an almost superhuman attention to detail? Do you want to help people develop to the best they can be? These are the must-haves, along with a knowledge and understanding of what clean really means, the ability to recognise good work and praise it, and the skills and patience to coach on areas that need improving. It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers – if that’s fired up your curiosity, have a read about it and decide if it describes you.
Nice to have but not essential
It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too (but we won’t hold it against you if you don’t):
- Experience of working on a holiday park
- Experience of working in the hospitality sector
What we can offer you
This is a role that you can take pride in as it stands, and it can also be a stepping stone to career progression if you want it to. We look after you with a great range of benefits, including:
- Up to 50% Discounts on Away Resorts holidays– because you deserve amazing getaways too.
- 20% On-park discounts– Enjoy the best of what we offer.
- Team Incentives– Your hard work won’t go unnoticed.
- Holiday Hero Menu– Enjoy delicious meals with discounted food options on-park.
- Help @ Hand Scheme– Wellbeing support when you need it.
- Career Development– We believe in nurturing talent and promoting from within.
