Are you dynamic, determined, and enthusiastic? Do you thrive on providing memorable guest experiences? We're looking for someone like you to join our team as a Sports & Leisure Team Leader. You'll play a key role in supervising, controlling, and ensuring the safety of our customers while delivering the highest standard of customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Assist in operating the leisure centre to achieve maximum sales while ensuring an exceptional customer experience.
  • Actively market and promote the business, seeking opportunities to increase sales and improve customer service.
  • Supervise, train, and motivate the team to ensure efficient and effective operation of the centre.
  • Maintain and develop the highest levels of service and safety within the leisure centre.
  • Oversee the security of facilities, cleanliness, maintenance, plant operation, water quality testing, and stock replenishment.
  • Process financial transactions, cash reconciliation, and accept bookings in compliance with regulations.
  • Ensure a high standard of cleanliness throughout the centre.
  • Monitor and maintain the safety and welfare of customers and staff.

Skills, Experience, and Qualities You’ll Need

  • Hold a current valid NPLQ and a First Aid at Work certificate as well as experience in backwashing and experience of COSHH.
  • A good standard of education, ideally to GCSE standard or equivalent.
  • Works well under pressure and a good communicator too.
  • Attention to detail and high standards.
  • Pool Plant Operator (PPO), National Pool Management Qualification (NPMQ) or equivalent, Fire Warden training.
