Who are we?

We're a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday at our award-winning UK resorts. St Ives Bay Beach resort is a 120-acre park, nestled amongst the sand dunes with direct beach access whilst enjoying wide-ranging views towards St Ives.

With 800 well-appointed chalets, static caravans and camping pitches, St Ives Bay Beach resort is a Cornish jewel that will soon offer all the unique facilities and events that Away Resorts have become renowned for.

What you’ll be doing

  • You’ll be leading and inspiring the kitchen team, creating freshly cooked dishes and working in partnership with our Front of House team to deliver delight to guests and maximise profits in our busy restaurant.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the Back of House (BOH) operation, ensuring guests receive an exceptional level of service and delicious meals, freshly cooked.
  • Leading key shifts and taking control of the day-to-day BOH operation, ensuring dishes comply to agreed specifications and the team are suitably deployed.
  • Supporting the F&B Manager in recruiting, managing and inspiring the kitchen team.
  • Controlling food margins through effective stock management.
  • Championing and implementing Health and Safety and Hygiene policies to ensure team and guest safety.
  • Consulting with, and learning from, the Group executive Chef to create your own seasonal, local specials where you source suppliers and products and put your mark on the menu.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too, but that’s made easier because this role comes with onsite accommodation (subject to availability).

  • Knowledge of working with regulations such as health & safety, auditing, and making sure that colleagues understand them.
  • Great leadership skills and the ability to build a high performing team in order to control, develop and improve all aspects of the kitchen including: P&L, yields, people, standards, legal compliance, service and brand integrity.
  • An NVQ and relevant food hygiene certificates.
