What we need in a nutshell: We want you to make our guests feel personally welcomed, cared for, and inspired to have their best holiday ever, from the moment they check in to the moment they leave.

Who we are? We are a dynamic and growing company, shaking up the Great British holiday. Retallack Resort and Spa is a luxury spa resort and a lively water sports hub, wrapped up in a stunning countryside location close to the North Cornish coast.

Some of the background: We’re not your average holiday company. Our guests come to our UK resorts to experience a world away from their day-to-day. When they are with us, they play crazy games, enjoy show-stopping entertainment and live in the moment. Our job is to surprise and delight them at every turn.

As Guest Services Team Leader, we need you to be the person who delivers delight when they arrive and check in, whenever they need help and, crucially, when they have a complaint (it’s rare, but it happens) in the absence of the Guest Services Manager.

The nitty gritty of what you’ll be doing: Working as part of our slightly bonkers team of holiday heroes, reporting to the Guest Services Manager, you will be supporting them in running the Guest Services department. This will see you spending lots of your time with guests; meeting and greeting them, checking them in, making holiday bookings, and resolving their complaints so that they walk away with a smile. And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person.

One more thing…holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on evenings, weekends and bank holidays too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:

  • Supervisory and Customer service skills and experience are a must! Preferably in the hospitality sector.
  • Confident, outgoing personality, incredible organisation skills and a high degree of resilience under pressure.
  • Comfortable multi-tasking, working as part of a team and solving problems using your own initiative.
  • Great communication skills, as you will be dealing with different departments and will need to resolve issues, get results and pass on correct information.

It’s about your values too. We have a can-do, fun loving, people centred ethos here at Away Resorts, which is captured by our holiday heroes’ mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers.

Nice to have but not essential - It would be great if you tick some of these boxes too:

  • Experience of using booking systems, especially Parcvu Holiday park experience.

What we can offer you:

  • Up to 50% Discounts on Away Resorts holidays – because you deserve amazing getaways too.
  • 20% On-park discounts – Enjoy the best of what we offer.
  • Team Incentives – Your hard work won’t go unnoticed.
  • Holiday Hero Menu – Enjoy delicious meals with discounted food options on-park.
  • Help @ Hand Scheme – Wellbeing support when you need it.
  • Career Development – We believe in nurturing talent and promoting from within.

Our promise to you: Holiday Heroes come with all sorts of different super-powers, and we welcome them all! We embrace diversity, inclusion and equal opportunities. We love that everyone comes from different backgrounds, allowing us to grow and inspire each other. We’ll never accept any form of discrimination and we’ll forever strive, not just for our product to be unique, but our people too. In short, we want you to bring your whole self to work!

Good Luck!
