What we need in a nutshell:
We love creating exciting dining concepts across our holiday parks and finding talented chefs to take them forward. This is a head chef role that, unusually for a high volume catering operation, has a lot of scope for you to use your talents for fresh, from-scratch cooking and menu creation.
What you'll be doing:
- Leading and inspiring the kitchen team, creating freshly cooked dishes and working in partnership with our Front of House team to deliver delight to guests and maximise profits in our busy restaurant.
- Overseeing all aspects of the Back of House (BOH) operation, ensuring guests receive an exceptional level of service and delicious meals, freshly cooked.
- Leading key shifts and taking control of the day-to-day BOH operation, ensuring dishes comply to agreed specifications and the team are suitably deployed.
- Supporting the F&B Manager in recruiting, managing and inspiring the kitchen team.
- Controlling food margins through effective stock management.
- Championing and implementing Health and Safety and Hygiene policies to ensure team and guest safety.
- Consulting with, and learning from, the Group Executive Chef to create your own seasonal, local specials where you source suppliers and products and put your mark on the menu.
One more thing: holidays happen at holiday times, so you'll need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too, but that's made easier because this role comes with onsite accommodation (subject to availability).
Skills, experience and qualities you'll need:
- At least Level Two Hygiene Certificate, ideally Level 3.
- Experience of leading a team as a head chef in a fast-paced and busy F&B kitchen environment.
- Well-versed in managing and delivering financial KPIs within budget requirements.
- Exceptional communication and organisational skills.
- A real passion for food, and a customer service ethos.
- Resilience.
- It's the icing on the cake if you have worked in a similar role on a holiday park.
What we can offer you:
- Pension scheme - Plan for your future.
- Up to 50% Discounts on Away Resorts holidays - because you deserve amazing getaways too.
- 20% On-park discounts - Enjoy the best of what we offer.
- Team Incentives - Your hard work won't go unnoticed.

- Holiday Buy Scheme - Flexibility to suit your lifestyle.

We love that everyone comes from different backgrounds, allowing us to grow and inspire each other. We'll never accept any form of discrimination and we'll forever strive, not just for our product to be unique, but our people too. In short, we want you to bring your whole self to work!
