About Us
Away Resorts is shaking up the industry and setting the new standards for what to expect from a UK Holiday Park. With 27 parks and resorts around the UK, our parks are jaw‑dropping not only in its views but also what it offers our guests. Our Mill Rythe resort, set on a peaceful estuary, has undergone a stunning £10m refurbishment with our cocktail bar, The Missing Squirrel, and a new restaurant, The Green Room.
What You’ll Be Doing
Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be the go‑to person at the poolside. You will look after everyone’s safety, keep the whole area clean and hygienic, and make sure that we’re meeting our legal requirements. Be incredibly friendly, answering guests’ questions and making sure that everyone is having a great time. You want to be remembered by the guests as one of the outstanding heroes of their holiday. Holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work weekends and bank holidays too.
Skills, Experience and Qualities You’ll Need
- A valid NPNQ (National Pool Lifeguard Qualification) – although we can provide training, you must pass our swimming tests first.
- Fantastic interpersonal skills – you’ll need to be assertive as well as friendly.
- To be naturally vigilant and helpful – guests come first, so you need to be alert to their needs as well as their safety.
- We value your values: can‑do, fun‑loving, people‑centred ethos.
If this resonates, read about our holiday heroes mantra of Attentive Amazing Lovers. If your application is successful, you’ll have to apply for an Enhanced DBS. We need to be happy that this, together with other information we may request, is all in order before you can join the team.
