What we need in a nutshell:
We are now recruiting for our 2026 season across various roles! We need someone who understands that food and drink are central to a happy holiday. Someone who can look after our guests’ every whim when they eat, drink and relax in our bars and restaurants. Please note that applicants must be 18 years or older to be eligible for this role.
Who are we?
Sandy Balls Holiday Village is a world away from your day to day, with more trees than you can… well, shake a stick at. We have resident alpacas, a bush-craft school and forest laser tag, along with the usual holiday heroes of cycling and swimming. But New Forest holidays are also about tranquillity, which is why our Retreat spa and cosy, cottage-style lodges and caravans are here to help our guests unwind. Part of the Away Resorts family, with 27 self-catered parks which all have their unique appeal!
What you’ll be doing:
- Meeting and greeting guests with a friendly welcome
- Taking food orders and making sure everyone gets what they asked for
- Serving behind the bar and delivering excellent table service
- Keeping your area clean, tidy and well-stocked
- Ensuring areas are sanitised in line with protocols
- Generally making sure everybody is having a great time
And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. If you’re happy to help even when it’s ‘not your job,’ you’re our sort of person. One more thing… holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays too.
Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need:
- Applicants must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this role.
- Have customer service experience and skills
- Relish the fast pace of a busy bar or restaurant
- Be someone who does things without needing to be asked
- Be a people person; easy to talk to and never happy until your guests are
- Have experience of working in a team
