Qualified Integrative Therapist – Wandsworth & Sutton Areas (Part-Time – Hybrid Role)

Position includes training for NHS Counselling for Depression.

As an experienced qualified counsellor, holding BACP/ UKCP accreditation (or eligibility to apply) you will play a crucial role in offering one-to-one, evidenced-based NHS Step 3 Talking Therapies to adult clients experiencing common mental health issues. A great opportunity to build your practitioner skills while obtaining NHS recognised PCE-CfD, Counselling for Depression qualification within The Awareness Centre’s NHS team; and as part of our progressive and expanding organisation.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Confident in delivering a high quality service, working in compliance with NHS NICE Guidelines and BACP / UKCP good practice management.
  • Comfortable and organised to manage a case load of 15 clients weekly, including reporting all clinical records.
  • Experienced and qualified to offer counselling via multiple channels including telephone, video and face to face; both daytime and/or evening (hours to be agreed across the week).
  • Ability to undertake an initial assessment; supported by an evidence-based approach with effective clinical decision-making for positive clinical outcomes.
  • Ability to work solution-focused against targeted completed treatments and a reliable recovery of 50%.
  • Willingness to attend recognised CfD training in London gaining qualification within one year. All training and client work with be fully supported by appropriate supervision provision.
  • Ability to assess and report any risk and/or safeguarding issues in accordance with risk protocols.
  • Responsible for diary management, onward referrals and discharge planning processes.
  • Responsible for attending a minimum of twice monthly supervision and monthly line management.

QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS:

  • A qualified, accredited or working towards accreditation counsellor, counselling psychologist and/or psychotherapists (UKCP, BACP), with ability to work with some complex or at risk clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure with good time management
  • Excellent organisation skills, prioritisation skills, ability to multitask and provide attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and written skills.
  • Professionalism and a collaborative approach to working.
  • Ability to work effectively with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • High proficiency in Excel, Word, email and knowledge of using platforms, including CRM and Microsoft 365 essential.
  • Experience of working within an NHS mental health service.
  • Experience of using IAPTus, the NHS clinical reporting platform.
