AWAL is on a mission to partner with independent artists to tell stories that shape culture. With a presence across 13 offices and a roster ranging from breakthrough artists to globally recognised names, we work with talents including Little Simz, Laufey, Disclosure, JPEGMAFIA, deadmau5/Kx5, Tom Misch, and many more. Now part of Sony Music, we operate with an independent spirit and a global outlook.

The role is focused on capturing, tracking, and resolving rights-related issues across the AWAL business. These queries may come from internal teams, clients, external rights holders, or partner businesses within the Sony family.
This is a fast-moving, detail-oriented role that supports the health of AWAL’s catalogue and ensures artists and partners have clarity and confidence in how their rights are handled. It demands strong problem-solving skills, comfort with structured processes, and the ability to manage multiple cases across internal tools and stakeholders.

- Communicate clearly with AWAL clients about rights claims, issues, and resolutions
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders (Business Affairs, Ops, Accounting) to resolve conflicts
- Accurately log and track issues across multiple tools and documents
- Follow defined processes for warnings, removals, strikes, and catalogue offboarding
- Collaborate with partner businesses across the Sony Music ecosystem to maintain shared standards
- Support our broaderTrust & Safety efforts by ensuring accurate, ethical, and consistent rights handling
- Recommend and help improve internal documentation and team knowledge resources
- Stay up to date with changes in platform policies, rights trends, and operational best practice
Who you are
- Clear and confident written and verbal communicator
- Able to manage multiple stakeholders with professionalism and clarity
- Organised, precise, and comfortable managing information across several systems
- A problem-solver who thrives in process-driven environments
- Familiarity with music rights and copyright ownership is preferred, but not essential
- Experience with operational or client support roles is a plus
- Comfortable using data to support decisions and track issues
- Strong judgment, especially when navigating sensitive issues
