We’re looking for an experienced Forklift Truck Driver to join the yard team at our busy Mansfield depot. This is a fast-paced, practical role at the heart of our operation, supporting customers, suppliers, and colleagues to keep everything running smoothly.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Safely operating a forklift to pick, load, and unload vehicles
- Assisting customers, suppliers, and delivery drivers on site
- Picking orders manually and handling heavy materials where required
- Keeping the yard clean, organised, and safe, with high standards of presentation
- Managing stock rotation and highlighting shortages or issues
- Carrying out daily checks on plant and machinery and reporting defects or H&S concerns
- Working closely with the wider yard team to maintain an efficient operation
What We’re Looking For
- Valid forklift licence and experience operating a forklift
- Previous experience working in a builders’ merchant environment
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Good communication skills and attention to detail
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong awareness of safety procedures
- Eligible to work in the UK
What We Offer
- Salary: £30,628 per annum
- Hours: 6:30am-5pm Monday to Friday
- Holiday: 23 days plus Bank Holidays
- Discretionary bonus scheme
