A.W. Lumb & Co is seeking a qualified Management Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA) to join our finance team in Dewsbury. This is a part‑time role working 30 hours per week, with flexibility over how the hours are arranged. The position also offers a clear route to full‑time in the future, including the opportunity to progress to a Financial Controller’s position.
Responsibilities
- Prepare management accounts, financial statements and supporting analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and monthly financial reporting
- Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and correct variances
- Produce sales and margin analysis for the commercial team
- Support the purchase ledger and credit control teams when required
- Provide accurate financial information to non‑financial managers
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and systems
- Support general financial operations in a busy, hands‑on environment
Qualifications
- Qualified accountant – ACCA, ACA, CIMA or equivalent
- Experience in a management accounting or similar finance role
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
- Confident using financial systems and Excel
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Strong communication skills and a proactive approach
