AW Construction is a Folkestone-based construction company delivering a wide range of commercial projects across the Southeast of England and London. Our core services include strip-out works, refurbishments, and fit-outs. We work with a diverse client base, including universities, shopping centres, light industrial facilities, housing associations, and other commercial organisations.
Due to continued growth, we are seeking to appoint a Junior Project Manager to join our expanding team. The successful candidate will be based at our Folkestone office and will be required to undertake frequent site visits across our project portfolio. This role is suited to an individual with existing experience in the construction industry, whether site-based or office-based, who is looking to develop a long-term career in project management.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard from inception through to handover.
- Support the coordination of operatives, subcontractors, and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner to maximise efficiency and control costs.
- Communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams to ensure smooth project delivery.
- Carry out regular site inspections to monitor quality, progress, and compliance with programme requirements.
- Prepare and contribute to project reports, highlighting progress, risks, issues, and proposed solutions.
Skills and Experience
- Broad knowledge of the construction industry.
- Competent in Maths, English, and IT.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Professional approach with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
