About Avvoka

Avvoka is a no-code document automation platform built for the legal industry. Our software is used by Magic Circle, US AmLaw and global elite law firms, as well as the in‑house legal teams at the world’s largest banks, funds, sponsors and corporates, to draft and negotiate their most important documents at speed and at scale.

Finance Law

Finance law is where Avvoka sees some of the highest‑volume, highest‑stakes drafting in the market. From syndicated lending and acquisition finance to ISDA negotiations, security packages, funds finance and restructurings, the deals are document‑heavy, the templates are sophisticated, and the cost of getting it wrong is enormous.

The Growth team is the front door to how Avvoka helps. We run consultative, value‑led sales conversations with banking partners, finance counsel and innovation leaders, and we pride ourselves on knowing the legal subject matter at least as well as our customers do.

About the Role

We are hiring a Finance law solution consultant to sit alongside our Account Executives and Customer Success Managers on our most strategic banking and finance opportunities. You will be the finance‑law subject‑matter expert in the room – the person who can talk LMA‑based facility agreements with a senior banking partner one minute, walk a DCM team through Massdraft for prospectus generation the next, and demonstrate ISDA Schedule negotiation in Avvoka the minute after that. Solution consultants are central to how Avvoka wins. You will scope automation projects, lead practice‑group‑specific demos, run our structured three‑week pilots, and translate between what finance lawyers actually need and what the platform can deliver. You will work hand‑in‑glove with AEs and CSMs through discovery, demo, pilot/PoC and commercial close, and you will partner closely with our Product teams to ensure what we sell is what we ship.

What You’ll Do

  • Be the finance‑law expert on deal teams.
  • Partner with AEs on Tier 1 and Tier 2 banking and finance opportunities.
  • Shape discovery, attend qualification calls, and own the technical and subject‑matter narrative through demo, pilot and close.
  • Lead practice‑group‑specific demos.
  • Tailor the Avvoka demonstration to the prospect’s practice – banking and finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, derivatives and ISDA, project finance, real estate finance, funds finance, restructuring and insolvency, DCM and securitisation – using their real documents wherever possible.
  • You will own the master demo script for finance practice areas.
  • Scope automation projects.
  • Recommend which finance templates a firm or in‑house team should automate first, in what order, and to what depth.
  • Bring opinions on the obvious wins – LMA‑based facility agreements, ISDA Schedules and CSAs, security packages, NDAs and CPs – and build a business case grounded in the prospect’s drafting workflow, not a generic pitch.
  • Run pilots and proofs of concept.
  • Lead Avvoka’s structured three‑week pilot programme: scope, kick‑off, drive the build (often on a flagship finance precedent), manage stakeholders across legal and ops, and present results back to the buying committee.
  • Bring deals home.
  • Win the credibility battle. When senior banking partners and finance counsel ask hard questions – about LMA versioning, ISDA architecture, intercreditor mechanics, conditions precedent management, AI use in drafting, or how Avvoka compares to Contract Express, HotDocs, ThoughtRiver or in‑house build – you are the person who answers credibly, in their language.
  • Respond to RFPs and procurement.
  • Own the subject‑matter content in RFPs and vendor questionnaires from banks, funds and law firms.
  • Work with Legal Engineering and Security to deliver compelling, accurate responses fast.
  • Be the voice of the finance customer internally.
  • Bring patterns back to Product and Marketing.
  • What templates are being asked for? What objections keep coming up? What proof points are working? Turn that into product feedback and content.
  • Help build the playbook.
  • Contribute to the Growth team Knowledge Bank, the objection‑handling library, and the customer‑story library.
  • Make the next solution consultant’s job easier than yours was.

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified finance lawyer with 2–10 years’ post‑qualification experience at a recognised law firm or in‑house at a bank, sponsor, fund manager or major corporate. This is a non‑negotiable requirement.
  • Deep familiarity with the finance‑law drafting stack – LMA‑based facility agreements (senior, RCF, term, mezzanine), ISDA Master Agreements, Schedules, CSAs and Confirmations, security documents (debentures, share charges, mortgages), intercreditor and subordination deeds, conditions precedent and closing checklists, fee letters, hedge linkage.
  • You should be able to read a precedent and immediately see where automation creates value.
  • Genuine interest in legal technology and AI. You’ve experimented with Claude, ChatGPT, Harvey or similar in your practice. You have a view on where generative AI fits in finance drafting and where it doesn’t. You are excited to build on that view, not defend it.
  • Outstanding communicator. You can hold a room of senior banking partners, present a demo without notes, and write a follow‑up email that lands the next meeting. Calm, credible, concise.
  • Commercially minded. Comfortable thinking about pipeline, deal stages, MEDDICC, value‑based selling and total cost of ownership. You don’t need to have done this before, but you need to want to learn it fast.
  • Organised and self‑directed. You will own multiple opportunities simultaneously. You keep HubSpot up to date because you understand why it matters, not because someone is chasing you.
  • Builder’s mentality. Avvoka is a scale‑up. The role will change. The playbook is being written. You should find that exciting.

Nice to Have

  • Experience at a Magic Circle, Silver Circle, US AmLaw 100 finance practice, or in‑house at a Tier 1 bank, sponsor or fund manager.
  • Direct experience with LMA documentation, ISDA negotiation, or running a major finance precedent system.
  • Prior exposure to document automation, contract lifecycle management, or legal engineering teams.
  • Experience running pilots, proofs of concept or technology evaluations on either the buy‑side or sell‑side.
  • Familiarity with HubSpot, Salesforce, Fireflies.ai, or LinkedIn Sales Navigator.
  • Second language – particularly French, German, Spanish or Mandarin.
