The Role: We are looking for a highly motivated Supplier Network Quality Inspector to join our Quality team and play a key role in ensuring that high-quality parts, materials and sub-assemblies are received into our busy manufacturing facility. Working closely with the Supply Network Quality Technician, Quality and Operations teams, you will be responsible for carrying out effective inspection and verification activities to ensure that purchased and manufactured components meet defined technical, quality and customer requirements. You will inspect critical parts and assemblies, support first-article inspection activities, identify and report non-conformances and work collaboratively with colleagues and suppliers to ensure timely corrective actions. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who is highly accurate, detail-focused and enjoys working in a manufacturing environment. You will play an important part in maintaining Avtron's right-first-time culture, helping ensure production build targets are achieved and customer delivery commitments are met. Key Responsibilities: Carry out routine and first-article inspections of incoming parts, materials, sub-assemblies and fabricated assemblies, ensuring compliance with drawings, specifications and quality requirements. Support the verification of Avtron-manufactured assemblies and finished products against customer and internal requirements. Accurately identify, record and report non-conformances, supporting investigations and effective corrective actions with Quality, Operations and suppliers. Work closely with the Quality, Operations and Supply Network teams to maintain robust inspection and compliance processes and support production delivery requirements. Proactively identify quality and process improvement opportunities and contribute to Practical Problem-Solving and a strong right-first-time culture. Job Requirements: BTEC Level 2 or equivalent GCSE qualifications; STEM-related subjects are desirable. Ability to accurately apply documented quality requirements and interpret technical drawings, specifications, work instructions and standard operating procedures. Strong attention to detail, accuracy and a methodical approach to inspection and quality activities. Good communication, organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues, suppliers and cross-functional teams. Computer literate with experience using Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook, and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues. Why Join Avtron?
