Supplier Quality Engineer Avtron is a global leader in the design and manufacture of Load Banks and Dynamometers, supplying customers across the power generation, utilities, defence and industrial sectors.

We are looking for an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer to join our Operations team.

Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will work closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to ensure components consistently meet quality standards while driving supplier performance and continuous improvement across the supply chain.

Key

Responsibilities

Develop strong relationships with suppliers to improve quality and performance.

Conduct supplier audits, quality reviews and manage supplier non-conformances.

Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations and implement effective corrective actions using structured problem-solving techniques.

Support the approval and development of new suppliers in collaboration with the New Product Development team.

Monitor supplier quality performance and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Job Requirements

Previous experience in a Supplier Quality Engineering role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.

Experience conducting supplier audits and developing strong supplier relationships.

A solid understanding of Root Cause Analysis (RCA), 8D methodology and continuous improvement techniques.

An engineering qualification (or equivalent industry experience), together with excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Knowledge of electro-mechanical manufacturing and ISO 9001 quality systems would be advantageous.
