Avtron is a global leader in the design and manufacture of Load Banks and Dynamometers, supplying customers across the power generation, utilities, defence and industrial sectors. We are committed to engineering excellence, innovation and delivering quality products right first time.

We are looking for an Environmental Engineer to develop and maintain Avtron's environmental, sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes. This role will play a key part in ensuring environmental compliance, supporting our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System and driving initiatives that reduce our environmental impact.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain Avtron's Environmental, Sustainability and CSR strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with UK environmental legislation and support the maintenance of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
  • Monitor and report on environmental performance, including waste, energy, water usage and carbon emissions.
  • Lead environmental improvement initiatives, including waste reduction, recycling, resource efficiency and carbon reduction.
  • Conduct environmental audits, support ESG reporting and provide environmental and sustainability awareness training across the business.

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or HNC/HND in Environmental Management, Engineering, Sustainability or a related discipline.
  • Previous experience in an Environmental, Sustainability or CSR role, ideally within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with ISO 14001, environmental legislation, audits and regulatory compliance.
  • Knowledge of ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, waste management, energy management and carbon reduction.
  • Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive continuous improvement.
