POSITION SUMMARY: Establishes, monitors, and directs all EHSS and compliance activities and responsibilities for all UK locations to ensure regulatory compliance, global strategy alignment, operational excellence, and that all team members return home safely, every day. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Essential Functions: Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement EHSS strategies aligned with corporate goals and regulatory requirements. Policy Development: Create EHSS policies and procedures to promote a culture of safety and security across the organization. Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with all environmental, health, safety, and security regulations and standards applicable to operations in the country. Risk Management: Identify EHSS risks, assess their impact, and implement measures to mitigate risks to team members, communities, and the environment. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal stakeholders (senior management, manufacturing teams, HR, etc...) and external stakeholders (government agencies, local communities, etc…) to promote EHSS best practices and initiatives. Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Establish and support all EHSS performance metrics, monitor performance against targets, track action deliverables and prepare regular reports for management and regulatory bodies to demonstrate compliance and progress. Perform EHSS due diligence on potential future M&A operations. Implement and perform EHSS training programs for all team members in the organization. Supplement team to complete regulatory audits (I.E. fork truck, ladder, sling, emergency light inspections, etc) when required Support and implement all new and developing EHSS strategies to support the growth of our business. Lead and support a culture of Continuous Improvement that drives Safety as “Our Core Value.” Leading a team of maintenance engineers to successfully support the continued operation of the facility DESIRED EDUCATION, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Education: Bachelor’s degree in occupational safety or health (preferred) Advanced degree in occupational safety or health Skills Ability to drive results and influence others in a team-oriented environment. Strong leadership and presentation skills with experience in leading and developing multidisciplinary teams, influencing stakeholders, and driving EHSS initiatives across multiple sites. Experience establishing EHSS program(s) from scratch for new green-field builds and supporting global EHS management integration in new and existing operations. Multi-site manufacturing experience. Regulatory and Reporting Agency knowledge and expertise. Computer proficiency. Experience Possess a proven track record of 7-10 years in EHS management, with a strong focus on collaboration and implementation of EHS programs, principles and processes within the manufacturing industry. Professional Certification in EHSS such as CSP or CIH, or relevant certification in EHSS management is preferred. . COMPUTER SKILLS: Microsoft Office Suite Familiarity with data analysis tools (IE Excel, Smart Sheet, etc…) to analyze EHSS performance metrics, trends, and KPI’s
