The Asset Senior Executive plays a key role in shaping Avtrade’s inventory strategy, using market intelligence, forecasting and commercial analysis to improve portfolio performance and support profitable growth.

The Asset department is central to procurement and stock investment decisions, identifying opportunities to maximise the saleability, utilisation and profitability of Avtrade’s inventory.

Working across Procurement and other internal teams, the Senior Executive will translate complex data into clear recommendations, coordinate proactive inventory sourcing and provide senior analytical support to the wider Asset team.

Function:

Analyse aviation component markets and portfolio performance to maintain the right inventory, in the right condition, at the right time.

Use forecasting, industry developments and commercial insight to recommend procurement, investment and stock-utilisation actions that increase revenue potential and reduce exposure to excess or slow-moving inventory.

Deliver accurate reporting, robust analytical tools and practical process improvements that strengthen decision-making, while acting as a knowledgeable senior contact for stakeholders and supporting the development of less-experienced team members.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Analyse portfolio performance and maintain optimum inventory levels in support of Avtrade’s commercial objectives.
  • Produce accurate provisioning recommendations and coordinate actions that sustain current and forecast commercial requirements.
  • Use historical performance, live market intelligence and industry developments to identify bulk-purchase, investment and stock-utilisation opportunities.
  • Lead the analysis of large-scale procurement projects and support their effective commercial execution.
  • Develop and maintain robust Excel-based models, reports and automated tools, using VBA where appropriate, to improve the accuracy and efficiency of Asset analysis.

Requirements Essential:

  • Demonstrable experience in inventory, asset, procurement or commercial analysis within a data-led environment.
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and convert findings into clear commercial recommendations.
  • Sound commercial judgement and an understanding of the factors that influence inventory investment, utilisation, saleability and risk.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with a consistent focus on data quality, accuracy and effective governance.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to present findings, explain recommendations and challenge constructively.

Desirable:

  • Experience within aviation, aerospace, component trading, aftermarket services or a comparable technical inventory environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel capability, including the development and maintenance of robust models, reports and analytical tools.
  • Knowledge of aircraft component markets, certification, airworthiness or Export Control requirements.
  • Experience using VBA, Power BI or other reporting and automation tools to improve analytical efficiency.
  • Experience supporting process improvement, system implementation, training or the development of junior team members.
