You will play a crucial role in ensuring aircraft are fully catered, stocked, and ready for departure, safely, efficiently, and on time.
Location: Manchester (Airside Operations)
Job Type: Full Time, Ongoing
Shifts & Hours:
- Minimum 8 hours guaranteed per shift
- Operations run 7 days a week, including public holidays
- Start Times:
- AM shift starts between 05:00am - 07:00am
- PM shift starts between 21:00pm - 23:00pm
- Start times may vary, and shifts are rotating, so full flexibility is required.
- 5 on / 3 off
- Break Structure:
- 1st break unpaid
- 2nd break paid
Pay Rates: £17.00 - £18.70 per hour
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Driving HGV Class 2 (Category C) vehicles airside
- Operating catering and high-loader vehicles in restricted airport zones
- Loading and unloading catering equipment in line with aircraft specifications
- Delivering food, beverages, and equipment directly to aircraft
- Completing vehicle safety checks before and after shifts
- Ensuring all deliveries meet strict aviation safety and timing requirements
- Maintaining compliance with Food Safety, Hygiene, and Aviation Security regulations
- Working closely with airside teams and flight crew
Essential Requirements:
- Valid UK HGV Category C (Class 2) licence
- Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum of 6 minor penalty points
- Previous Class 2 driving experience required
- Ability to work flexible shift patterns, including weekends and public holidays
- Strong awareness of safety in a high-risk, time-sensitive environment
- Willingness to undergo full airside security clearance
