Pay: £15.99 per hour

Overtime: £23.99

Bank holiday: £31.98

Shift Pattern: 5 out of 7 days or 4 on / 2 off rota 14.00pm 22.00pm

Our client is recruiting an experienced Chef for a busy airport catering and in-flight meals production kitchen based in Crawley. This is a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to strict airline specifications and tight deadlines. You will work closely with the kitchen and operations team to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled chefs who thrive under pressure and are looking to work in a structured, professional catering operation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparation and cooking of in-flight meals to required specifications
  • Ensuring correct portioning, quality, and presentation standards
  • Working to tight production schedules and deadlines
  • Communicating effectively with Shift Managers and team members
  • Advising stores/procurement on stock and product requirements
  • Washing, sorting, assembling, and packing aircraft catering equipment
  • Processing and stripping trolleys and ensuring correct allocation
  • Offloading and organising food and equipment into designated areas
Candidate Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience as a Chef (required)
  • Experience in high-volume or production kitchens (airline/hotel/restaurant preferred)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written English)
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Good organization skills and attention to detail
  • Basic computer skills
