Our client is recruiting an experienced Chef for a busy airport catering and in-flight meals production kitchen based in Cheadle. This is a fast-paced, high-volume production environment where you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals to strict airline specifications and tight deadlines. You will work closely with the kitchen and operations team to ensure efficiency, quality, and compliance with food safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity for skilled chefs who thrive under pressure and are looking to work in a structured, professional catering operation.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and cooking of in-flight meals to required specifications
- Produce authentic Pakistani, Asian and English dishes as part of a diverse inflight menu
- Ensuring correct portioning, quality, and presentation standards
- Working to tight production schedules and deadlines
- Communicating effectively with Shift Managers and team members
- Advising stores/procurement on stock and product requirements
- Produce bakery items including artisan breads, pastries and desserts
- Maintain strict HACCP, food safety and allergen compliance at all times
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum 3 years experience as a Chef (required)
- Experience in high-volume or production kitchens (airline/hotel/restaurant preferred)
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication skills (verbal and written English)
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Good organization skills and attention to detail
- Basic computer skills
Compliance Requirements
