🔧 What You’ll Do

  • Provide on-site and remote technical support to customers across the U.K., with occasional travel within Europe.
  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair AVT’s advanced print inspection systems at customer sites, mainly within the printing and packaging industries.
  • Diagnose hardware, software, electrical and mechanical issues and work closely with AVT’s regional and global support teams to resolve them.
  • Train customers on the day-to-day use and maintenance of AVT systems.
  • Support remote diagnostics for system and application issues.
  • Maintain accurate service reports, follow-up actions and spare-part requests/returns.
  • Work independently at customer sites while maintaining high standards of safety, quality and customer service.

🎓 Who You Are

  • Degree, diploma or technical qualification in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field.
  • Strong technical aptitude and logical fault-finding skills.
  • Hands-on understanding of electronics and mechanics, with the ability to read mechanical and electrical drawings.
  • Comfortable working with computers, software applications, operating systems and networks.
  • Previous experience in field service, technical support, industrial equipment or a similar hands-on technical environment is an advantage.
  • Customer-oriented, with strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to work independently, manage priorities and remain effective in a fast-paced production environment.
  • Willing to travel frequently across the U.K., with occasional travel within Europe.
  • Fluent English.
  • Positive, reliable, curious and eager to continue developing professionally.
