Job Title: Support Assistant

Location: Glasgow

Salary: £22,932 Per Annum (Pro-Rata Salary is £13,759)

Hours: 21 per week (Days in office: Monday, Tuesday & Thursday)

Contract Type: Permanent

Could you play a crucial role within our Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links Service?

The Support Assistant is at the heart of the Refugee Support and Restoring Family Links (RSRFL). You will be working alongside an operational team delivering frontline services and provide a vital link in our service delivery. Working as part of the wider RSRFL directorate, the purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to our Glasgow based team. You\'ll provide efficient and reliable administrative support to the team in order to support high quality service delivery to people in crisis. This will be essential in ensuring we deliver the best possible service. This is a fantastic opportunity and will be a rewarding role for the right person. You\'ll be helping us achieve our mission of supporting people in crisis.

Requirements / Skills

  • You are organised and can plan, manage and monitor your own workload
  • Fully IT literate
  • Excellent time management skills. You can respond to and prioritise a range of competing demands
  • Superb interpersonal and communication skills
  • You can recognise the implications of working within a charity and a voluntary organisation
  • You can demonstrate flexibility and open mindedness
  • You have the ability to listen, empathise and provide emotional support to highly distressed and vulnerable people in crisis

Desirable / Welcome Candidates

  • Have personal experience of migration and/or family separation due to conflict or natural disaster
