Working for a purpose-driven social enterprise within the British Red Cross, our Mobility Aids service partners with the NHS and Local Authorities to provide essential equipment that helps people live independently at home.
What does a Stores Operative do?
- Managing equipment within the warehouse and refurbishment department, ensuring items are received, recorded, cleaned, maintained, and dispatched efficiently.
- Updating the stock control system to manage inventory and ensure accurate tracking.
- Maintaining stores housekeeping to the high standard required.
- Working with the team to meet and exceed customer expectations, service levels and company standards while supporting profitability.
What it takes to be successful
- Clear communicator with good time management.
- Comfortable with manual tasks and lifting up to 25kg.
- Organised and able to prioritise workload.
- Team player with a positive attitude.
- Basic IT skills with the ability to learn an online stock management system.
Previous experience in stores or warehousing environments would be advantageous.
