We are seeking a motivated Multi Utilities Operative with experience in the clean and wastewater sector to join our dedicated team. Working across United Utilities sites throughout the Northwest, you will play a key role in maintaining our high standards of service while always ensuring safety and compliance.

What will your day look like…

  • Carry out site duties as directed by your Team Leader, following Avove’s Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental policies, as well as our Work Together, Safe Together ethos.
  • Report all good calls, close calls and near misses through the e20 Health & Safety reporting system.
  • Identify and promptly report any unsafe acts or conditions.
  • Build and maintain positive, professional relationships with customers.
  • Adhere to Street Works regulations, use materials efficiently and return unused materials to stores.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work site, ensuring tools and equipment remain in good condition and reporting any issues to your Team Leader.

About you…

  • Hold NRSWA certification with proven experience in signing, lighting and guarding.
  • Possess a valid driving licence and be willing to travel within the contract area.
  • Demonstrate a proactive, responsible and flexible approach with strong teamwork and problem solving skills.
  • Deliver high quality work on time while showing a willingness to learn and develop new skills.
  • Communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, and work safely in confined spaces within a civils environment.
  • Maintain a strong commitment to health, safety, quality and environmental standards at all times.
