About the role… We are expanding our team and looking to take on a Team Leader to join us, working on our Developer Services Framework in the Severn Trent Water Region. This is an exciting time to join an established team as we look to continue to build upon the success we have had in delivering this workstream for over 10 years. As a Team Leader you will play a leading role in a team of 2 or more operatives delivering great service to our customers. Ensuring that the team are compliant with all H&S processes and ensuring quality of delivery every single time. You will play a key role in developing your team and ensuring they have the correct skill sets to undertake all aspects of clean water installations whether 25mm or 500mm. You will be the person who ensures that all our customers are satisfied and happy with the works you and your team have undertaken. You will be responsible for planning the daily schedules, compliance, quality, wellbeing of your team and ensuring that all data required for every job is communicated promptly and accurately. This is a site-based role and involves weekend working and you may be included in the callout/standby rota.

  • Leading a team of 2 or more you will support and deliver the works that has been programmed to you and your team ensuring all deadlines are met and are within line with KPIs and operational requirements.
  • Develop techniques and skills within the team to undertake clean water operations so they can develop and grow as individuals with an aim for them to overcome any problem with confidence and deliver safely to a high standard if they were to go as a team leader in the future.
  • Implementing and ensuring site health and safety is adhered to by all on site at all times to ensure works delivered safely.
  • Support team by identifying and putting in controls to risks ensuring everybody gets home to their families every night.
  • Work with your management team to ensure you have the appropriate resource levels to deliver your schedule your work to the highest quality.
  • Proactively work with our customers to prevent dissatisfaction.
  • Feedback to team and management on ways to improve the way things.
  • Support the use of new technologies and new ways of working.
  • Complete the required paperwork/systems in a timely manner and to the highest of detail and quality.

About you…

  • Full Valid UK Driving Licence.
  • NRSWA operative level.
  • Medium Risk Confined Space Training.
  • Emergency first aid.
  • Cable Avoidance (CAT) – EUSR CAT 1.
  • EUSR Water Hygiene.
  • Deep Excavation/Trench Support Qualification (preferable).
  • Line stopping Knowledge/Experience.
  • Under pressure Drilling Experience/Training.
  • Banksman and Slingsman.
