Avove is growing our work with Scottish Power Energy Networks and, as a result, we’re looking to recruit Junior Vegetation Compliance Auditors to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their career or looking to move into the utilities or vegetation management industry. No previous auditing experience is required — full training and support will be provided. We’re looking for motivated, reliable people who are keen to learn and develop in a long-term role with a stable and supportive company.

What will your day look like…

  • Assisting with inspections of completed vegetation clearance works across the SPEN network
  • Learning how to check clearances against safety and quality standards
  • Using simple digital tools to record inspections (training provided)
  • Taking photographs and completing basic reports
  • Flagging any issues to supervisors or experienced team members
  • Working with cutting teams to help ensure work is completed correctly
  • Building your knowledge of safety rules, compliance, and vegetation management

About you…

  • An interest in outdoor, site-based work
  • Keen to learn and develop new skills in the utilities or vegetation management sector
  • Any previous experience in landscaping, arboriculture, utilities, or manual/outdoor work is useful but not essential
  • Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet
  • Willing to follow safety procedures and company guidance
  • A full UK driving licence is required
