The Contract Manager will be responsible for the end-to-end management of our Vegetation Management contracts with a strong focus on commercial performance, cost control, and operational delivery. You will lead a team of quantity surveyors and commercial analysts in running the day-to-day processes on the contract including reviewing invoices and submitting applications.

The role requires significant experience in managing Schedule of Rates (SoR) contracts, producing and reviewing Cost Value Reconciliations (CVRs), and ensuring contracts are delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.

What will your day look like…

  • Deliver BAU workstreams on time, within scope, and to required quality standards.
  • Negotiate with external parties to drive efficiencies and strengthen commercial outcomes.
  • Support workload planning, resource allocation, and programme delivery.
  • Monitor KPIs and SLAs and draft performance documentation for review.
  • Coordinate operational and commercial teams to ensure aligned and efficient delivery.
  • Lead monthly CVRs with accurate cost capture, correct revenue recognition, and clear visibility of risks and opportunities.
  • Apply Schedule of Rates effectively, ensuring correct pricing, valuation, invoicing, and value recovery.
  • Develop team capability through coaching, mentoring, and commercial guidance.

  • Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Senior Commercial role.
  • Strong understanding of Schedule of Rates contracts.
  • Expertise in CVR production and financial forecasting.
  • Experience in BAU and framework delivery environments.
  • Demonstrable commercial acumen and strong financial management capability.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and client relationships.
  • Experience leading and supporting teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
