About the role

Due to growth, Avove are looking to appoint a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team, working on our Severn Trent Framework. Location: Derby (we do operate a hybrid work policy).

Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring contract compliance with Avove’s systems, processes, and procedures.
  • Managing financial monitoring and reporting across assigned contracts.
  • Supporting the preparation, negotiation, and administration of construction contracts.
  • Managing contract variations, commercial records, claims, EOTs, and valuations.
  • Overseeing subcontractor procurement, appointments, and ongoing management.
  • Preparing and submitting timely applications and invoices to clients.
  • Supporting business development activities including PQQs and tender submissions.
Skills/Experience required:
  • Strong experience working with NEC3/NEC4 contracts (target cost, fixed price, cost reimbursable).
  • Background in both infrastructure and non-infrastructure projects, ideally within the water/utilities sector.
  • Strong commercial acumen and experience managing contract frameworks.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively within multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Full UK driving licence (regional site visits required).
