Avove is excited to announce a major expansion of our operations with Scottish Power Energy Networks. The contract has now doubled in size to approximately £10 million per annum and is secured for a full six-year period. This enables us to launch a significant recruitment drive focused on long-term planning, investment in people, and cutting-edge equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Managing work programmes to ensure work is issued and carried out to the required standard with minimum risk to employees, sub-contractors and others on site, ensuring safe compliant delivery.
  • Ensuring operational procedures, safe working methods and best environmental practices are followed and fully implemented.
  • Ensuring that work specifications and method statements are fully completed and provided to your operational teams.
  • Ensuring that your field staff teams understand and implement risk assessments, method statements.
  • Setting high standards and workload delivery targets for direct and contract staff in line with contract and company objectives.
  • Managing client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Key Mandatory Utility Arb NPTC Qualifications 0039-20 to 23: Chainsaw Maintenance, Small Tree Felling, Climb Trees & Perform Aerial Rescue, Chainsaw from a Rope & Harness.
  • 0020-61: Woodchipper
  • Further desirable Utility Arb NPTC Qualifications 0039-31 to 38: Aerial Pruning & Rigging, Medium & Large Tree Felling, Individual & Multiple Windblown, Chainsaw from a MEWP & 0038-35 MEWP Working.
  • 301 Utility Arb Basic Electrical Knowledge Emergency First Aid at Work & Forestry First Aid.
  • Typical Utility Arb NPTC Progression Training upon Recruitment 302 to 305: Tree Species Recognition, Ground & Aerial Pruning, Assisted Fell and Pole Top Rescue.
