The successful candidate will work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure solutions are technically robust, efficient, and aligned with client and regulatory requirements.
Location: Warrington (Avove offers flexible hybrid working, with a combination of office and remote working)
Key Responsibilities

- Review and check the work of others, providing technical guidance and supervision to junior or less experienced staff.
- Obtain, interpret and analyse technical information, reporting findings clearly and accurately.
- Prepare and present engineering solutions through drawings, reports, calculations and other technical outputs.
- Produce engineering drawings and reports, and undertake site surveys as required.
- Develop designs that meet client requirements and comply with relevant standards, ensuring solutions are fit for purpose and cost‑effective.
- Work collaboratively within a team environment to build and maintain strong working relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of health, safety and welfare legislation, including the Construction (Design and Management) (CDM) Regulations, and ensure these principles are embedded within designs.
Skills & Experience Required
- A relevant degree qualification; candidates working towards a professional qualification are preferred. Applicants with equivalent experience who do not fully meet the academic criteria are also encouraged to apply.
- A strong technical background in the design of water and/or wastewater non‑infrastructure works is desirable, although candidates from related engineering disciplines will be considered.
- Computer literate, with proficiency in MS Office and a working knowledge of engineering software such as AutoCAD.
