As an Electrical Engineer, you will deliver EICA design for water and wastewater projects as part of a multi‑disciplinary design team. Projects span infrastructure and non‑infrastructure works across all design stages, from feasibility through to detailed design for construction, including pumping stations, treatment works, mechanical screening, chemical dosing and sludge handling systems. Location: Warrington (Avove offers flexible hybrid working, with a combination of office and remote working).

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Senior and Principal Engineers in delivering high‑quality designs that meet technical standards, programme, budget and quality requirements.
  • Develop practical, innovative concept and detailed design solutions aligned with the project brief and client needs.
  • Produce engineering designs, calculations, drawings and technical reports across all design stages.
  • Assist with feasibility studies, inspections, contract preparation, project planning and programming.
  • Support bids and tender submissions with technical input.
  • Supervise and support junior team members, including graduates and technicians.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly CDM regulations, and the integrated management system.
  • Provide project administration support, including monitoring time, outputs and delivery performance.

Skills & Experience Required

  • Ability to produce detailed electrical and instrumentation design outputs for simple process plant.
  • Developing knowledge of clean and wastewater treatment processes, including pumping stations and associated equipment.
  • Practical engineering capability, with experience undertaking site surveys and developing workable design solutions.
  • Ability to estimate design effort and contribute to cost plans.
  • Strong team player, able to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider design team.
  • Good knowledge of BS 7671 (18th Edition Wiring Regulations).
  • Experience producing electrical drawings and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with Amtech software for cable calculations.
  • Full UK driving licence.
